In addition to the requirements of the physics major, all Columbia Physics-Engineering double majors must complete the following courses:

- MA 221 - Linear Algebra (4 Cr.)
- Sufficient knowledge of computer programming is needed in order to take Data Structures (COMS W3134 or W3137) at Columbia University
