Goucher College provides many options for students interested in studying education including:
- Secondary Education Certification, Grades 7-12 (grades 7-12) with an undergraduate content area major (ex. Biology, Chemistry, History, Spanish…).
- 4+1 Program that leads to a Masters of Arts (MAT) degree and Maryland teacher certification through the Goucher Graduate Programs in Education in approximately 5 years. Students interested in this pathway should major in American Studies Major with an American Education thematic core and meet with an education faculty member early in their Goucher career.
- American Studies Major with an American Education thematic core to prepare students for careers in educational policy, advocacy, non-profit and private sector education agencies.
