ARH 266 - Medieval Art (4 Cr.)
European art from the catacombs to the cathedrals. Includes Early Christian, Carolingian, Romanesque, Gothic, and Byzantine art. Stylistic evolution and the ideas motivating style. A survey from Early Christian art through the High Gothic, including Byzantium. Prerequisite: ARH 103 (formerly ART 103) or permission of instructor. Variable semesters. Oettinger.
