MA 333 - Euclidean and Non-Euclidean Geometry (3 Cr.)
Euclid’s parallel postulate, non-Euclidean geometries, rigorous formulation of Euclidean geometry. The historical and the philosophical implications of non-Euclidean geometries. Three hours lecture. Prerequisite: MA 221 or with a “C-” or better, or permission of the instructor. Spring semester. Offered 2013-14 and alternate years. Tutinas.
