ART 266 - Medieval Art (3 Cr.) (GEN. ED. #4 and #9)
European art from the catacombs to the cathedrals. Includes Early Christian, Carolingian, Romanesque, Gothic, and Byzantine art. Stylistic evolution and the ideas motivating style. A survey from Early Christian art through the High Gothic, including Byzantium. Prerequisite: ART 103 or permission of instructor. Spring semester. Offered variable years. Oettinger.
