EXPLORING ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND HISTORY This interdisciplinary course builds Italian language skills and knowledge of music through a seven-week pre-program course in the fall, a three-week immersion experience, living with families in Southern Italy in January, and a seven-week post-program course in the spring. This course is an opportunity to experience firsthand the importance of the relationship between Italian language and music. Musical texts, including opera and song, and attendance at a musical performance will be integrated with language immersion activities and assignments. Prerequisite:
