Students will study the application of polyrhythm, polycentrism, groundedness, and spinal work and explore the head-tail connection. The embodied of the above modalities will culminate in techniques to create new works such as contemporary African dance, Hip Hop, Afrobeats/Afropop, improvisation, etc. Repeatable up to three times for credit. Prerequisite: placement in DAN 333 or above Fall and spring semester. Program faculty.
