DMC 413 - Signal Processing (4 Cr.) Signal processing is the transformation of a signal, or set of data, into useful information. Signal processing is used in such applications as medical imaging, speech recognition, wireless communication, video processing, and seismology. In this course, students will use computer software such as MATLAB or Python to study sampling, discrete-time signals, filters, and transforms through application-based projects and in-class labs. Students will look at applications in signal, image, and speech processing. Prerequisite: C- or above in DMC 331 . Offered fall semesters of even years. Grotheer, Webster.
