BKS 220 - Baltimore Libraries past present future (2 Cr.)
This course explores the rich history of Baltimore libraries through readings, discussion and site visits, and how that history reflects changing ideas about books and society. We will examine how the Enoch Pratt Library, which opening in 1886 “…for all, rich and poor without distinction of race or color…,” and other Baltimore libraries are moving into the future. Spring 2019 and alternate years. Magnuson and Goucher Librarians.
