Concentration in social justice
The social justice concentration helps focus student’s coursework around issues of inequality, social justice, and public policy. The social justice concentration draws upon sociology’s long standing interest in normative patterns as well as questions associated with the fields of anthropology, history, political science, social psychology, economics and sociology. It draws on these fields for theoretical understandings of matters such as legal studies, political activism, and community service. Students concentrating in social justice must complete the following:
