The Public Health major consists of set of required Core Courses (24 credits) and courses students select from two categories: Electives: Mechanisms and Contexts of Health and Professional & Applied Skills (20 credits).
Core Courses introduce students to the interdisciplinary nature of the discipline, the distribution and determinants of health outcomes and diseases in specified populations, and the ability to work with large-scale databases to analyze health and disease patterns in local and/or global contexts.
Students choose Electives and Professional & Applied Skills courses in order to explore the many options available in Public Health and prepare for specific pathways to graduate study or careers in the field.

At least 3 classes/12 credits, at least 2 of which must be at the 300-level or above. Professional and Applied Skills Options
