BIO 362 - Endocrinology (3 Cr.) A study of the vertebrate endocrine system. Topics include endocrine gland morphology, hormone syntheses and biochemistry, and hormonal regulation of physiological function with particular regard to growth, metabolism, reproduction, and electrolyte balance. Neuroendocrinology and mechanisms of hormone action are also considered in detail. Three hours lecture. Prerequisites: BIO 210 , BIO 224 , and BIO 260 . Spring semester. Offered 2016-17 and alternate years. Delahunty.
