WS 235 - The Gendered Body: a Historical and Feminist Perspective (3 Cr.)
This course will examine how the ideal body image changes over time. Using historical and feminist analysis it will explore the importance of gender in the social and cultural construction of the body and the ways in which the media and culture help to construct the image of the ideal body. Fall semester. Offered 2010-11 and alternate years.
