PHL 221 - 20th-Century Continental Philosophy (3 Cr.)
An advanced survey of early and mid-20th-century Continental philosophy. All readings are from primary sources, supplemented by lecture and discussion. Students will consider not only the internal arguments of these texts, but also the broader cultural and political questions that frame their arguments. Prerequisite: either sophomore standing, a 100-level philosophy course, or permission of the instructor. Fall semester. Offered 2010-11 and alternate years. Grebowicz.
