BIO 363 - Endocrinology Laboratory (2 Cr.) (GEN. ED. #6 with BIO 362 )
Practical experience with endocrine methodology. Laboratory exercises with vertebrate organisms include animal surgery, hormone replacement therapy, and demonstration of hormonal regulation via negative feedback mechanisms. Basics of radioimmunoassay and studies demonstrating the mechanism of hormone action are included. One hour lecture, three hours laboratory. Corequisite: BIO 362 . Spring semester. Offered 2012-13 and alternate years. Delahunty.
