ANT 243 - The Craft of Anthropology (4 Cr.)
Exploration of the core concerns of cultural anthropology, from theoretical debates on the nature of culture to practical application of anthropological skills. Issues addressed include the art and science of field research; approaches to understanding other cultures and one’s own, and the representation and translation of cultures. Prerequisite: ANT 107 or one 200-level social science course. Spring semester. Turner.
