Sociology/Anthropology Minor

All minors must complete a minimum of 19 credits within the program. Required courses include:

• ONE of the following courses:

• SOA 200 - Development of Social Thought (4 Cr.)
• SOA 201 - Writing and Interpreting Social Life (4 Cr.)
• SOA 217 - Methods of Social Research (4 Cr.)

  • Four additional courses, either four SOA courses or three SOA courses plus one approved CPEB course (see the list of approved CPEB courses in DegreeWorks); one of the SOA courses must be at the 300- or 400-level. (15-16 Cr.)

Study Abroad Policy:

For a one semester study abroad program, one 200-level elective can be counted toward the minor. For a one-year study abroad program, two 200-level electives can be counted toward the minor. For all minors, these are the courses that cannot be substituted or taken elsewhere: SOA 200 , SOA 201 , and SOA 217 .
