PHL 245 - Critical Race Theory (3 Cr.) A detailed examination of our assumptions about race and the impact of those assumptions on issues concerning gender, class, and sexuality. Students examine racial issues from a critical philosophical perspective and consider the ways in which representations of race reinforce patterns of power and privilege. Prerequisite: one course in philosophy or permission of the instructor. Fall semester, offered 2014-15 and alternate years. Grebowicz.
