ART 280 - Neoclassicism to Impressionism: European Art, 1780-1880 (3 Cr.) (GEN. ED. #4 and #9) European painting and sculpture in the age of industrial and political revolution. Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Realism, and Impressionism. Emphasis on the origins and development of a modern vision and its relationship to academic tradition and on the connection between the visual arts and European politics and society. Prerequisite: ART 103 or permission of instructor. Fall semester. Husch.
