DAN 389 - Labanotation (4 Cr.)

A systematic method of observation and notation of the basic essence of movement leading to a more detailed study of movement reading and writing based on the work of Laban and Knust with application to performance, choreography, dance criticism, dance history, dance therapy, theatre, and related arts. Prerequisite: placement in DAN 215 or DAN 221 or DAN 233 and completion of GCR - Data Analytics Foundational level. Variable semesters. Program faculty.
