PSC 259 - African Politics (4 Cr.)

An examination of African politics and societies since 1885. Exploration of the influences of Islam and Christianity, the colonization of the continent by imperial European powers, and the liberation movements, which brought about the demise of colonization. Consideration of contemporary issues and trends. Prerequisite: Prerequisites: PSC 121 or PSC 150, or permission of the instructor. Variable semesters.
