COM 450 - Producing Digital Media (4)
The course explores the current developments and potentials of transmedia, cross-media, and integrated multi-platform media production while also including traditional linear storytelling forms in film and video. Short-form, social media, video gaming, immersive media and technologies have all broadened possibilities for audience participation and engagement. Students will learn the cross-platform storytelling fundamentals. Each student will develop their own project, and will have the opportunity to use the class to develop their capstone project if desired. Pre-requisites: COM 232; one of COM 238, COM 286, ART/COM 252, ART/COM 257, or ART 375; and Junior or Senior status by the beginning of the course. Pre-reqs may be waived by permission of the instructor. Bozic.
