BUS 347 - Introduction to Human Resource Management (2 Cr.)BUS 247 Managers around the world understand that properly managed human resources are a source of competitive advantage in an increasingly competitive world. In fact, human resources are an organization’s most important resource. Hiring the right people, equipping them with the right skills, and providing an environment in which they can contribute is among the most vital things managers and human resource professionals do. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to participate in effective human resources management in a professional setting. This will be accomplished through readings, case studies, experiential exercises, and discussion. Fall and Spring semester. Bowen. Prerequisite: BUS 390 or permission of instructor.
