DMC 301 - Foundations of Data Analytics (4 Cr.)
In our digital world, data-driven decision-making is common. This course explores the multiple aspects of computational data analysis such as data gathering, cleaning, exploration, visualization, and communication. Students learn to apply common statistical techniques such as linear and multiple regression in the context of various programming languages and technological tools. Data exploration and visualization techniques are also discussed. Students will work through a semester-long project acquiring, cleaning, visualizing, and exploring data to learn foundational skills for working with digital data.
