BUS 345 - Organizational Behavior (2 Cr.)(formerly BUS 245) In this course, students learn not only the concepts and theories that enhance the management of human behavior at work but also how to practice these skills. Readings and in-class exercises demonstrate how organizational behavior theories and research apply to all types of organizations today. Topics include the foundations of organizational behavior; challenges for managers; personality, perception and attribution; attitudes, emotions and ethics; communication; work teams and groups; power and political behavior; and conflict and negotiation. Prerequisite: junior standing, business management major or minor, or permission of the instructor. Fall semester, repeated spring semester. Bowen.
