Next Steps for Potential Majors and Minors

Students interested in majoring or minoring in Economics should start by enrolling in EC 111 - Essentials of Economics I (4 Cr.)   as soon as possible.  This course is offered each fall and spring.

  • EC 111  and EC 211  with at least a C- in both Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics

Students who have received a score of 5, 6, or 7 on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Economics Higher Level (HL) exam will receive credit for both EC 111 and EC 211
