SP 322 - Survey of Latin-American and Peninsular Literature and Culture (4 Cr.)(Formerly SP 254 and SP 294) (LER DIV and LER TXT)(GCR RPP)
This course is designed to help students appreciate and enjoy Latin America and Spain’s literature and culture. It will introduce some major artistic movements, and a variety of authors and artists. Through the critical analysis of texts, visual arts and films, which focus on issues of race, gender, sexuality, socio-economics and culture, students will understand the different worldviews of these multi-cultural traditions and how they relate to their contemporary reality. Prerequisite: SP 235 , SP 254 (inactive course), SP 294 (inactive course), SP 350 , SP 361 , SP 363 , or SP 365 , or placement. Fall and Spring semesters. Program faculty.
