PHL 432 - Foucault (4 Cr.)

(Formerly PHL 332)
An intensive examination of the works of Michel Foucault as well as an introduction to the ideas that shaped the second half of the twentieth century, including the rise of neo-liberalism. The course will be devoted to a careful reading of Foucault’s most important works. Prerequisite: Either two philosophy courses (one at the 300-level), or permission of the instructor.
