ARH 286 - American Art Since World War II (3 Cr.)(formerly ART 286)
Major movements and issues in American art from the end of World War ll through the 1970s. Emphasis on the function of the visual arts in contemporary society, the role of the artist, the nature of the creative process, varieties of meaning and content in works of art, and the relationship of art to the marketplace. Prerequisite: ARH 103 (formerly ART 103) or permission of instructor. Fall semester. Offered 2016-17 and alternate years. Husch.
