DAN 104 - Improvisation (1.0 Cr.)

This course is designed to introduce dancers to improvisation as a movement practice, a performance technique, and a tool for dance composition. It aims to increase the student’s exploration of the dance elements of time, space, and energy through individual, partner, and group movement without predetermined, choreographed actions. Emphasis is placed on the movement experience and processing movement concepts through creative action research, discussion, and reflection. Repeatable up to three times for credit.
