Exploration of the states of matter and laws of thermodynamics applied to chemical systems and rates of reactions. Emphasis will be placed on the physical chemistry of biological systems and the theoretical basis for various biophysical techniques. Prerequisites: and or , , and (or 152H). Spring semester.
