LL 110 - Learning to Learn (2)

This two-credit course will empower students to develop inner qualities that will help them maximize their potential and become intrinsically motivated self-directed learners and successful college students. Students will also explore advances that have been made in the field of cognitive research related to learning and will apply these advances to their learning and coursework in their other classes. This course will approach the college experience as a laboratory where students practice using cognitive-based study strategies and making and acting on wise choices to support their academic success and personal growth. In addition, students will leave the course with a “statement of learning philosophy” that will serve as a compass for future academic work.
